Welcome back from over the rainbow !!!...
Cowboy is Back in Town...
Yesterday Scott Boyer and Tommy Talton, of the Capricorn recording
group, Cowboy, circled their wagons at Duck Tape Studio in Decatur, AL
once more, but John Wayne was no where to be found. Instead Johnny
Sandlin, and his engineering group loaded the long rifles for Boyer,
Talton, Bill Stewart, Randall Bramblett, David Hood, Charlie Hayward
and Ricky Hersh, in support of a new Cowboy recording. As John Wayne
would have said, "There's not a Pilgrim in the bunch," and he'd be
right!
This is the second recording session in support of that long
overdue Cowboy project. The first session, which took place in early
December, included all of the original members of Cowboy. This latest
session is designed to sweeten the tracks that have already been
recorded, and to bring in some new blood for additional tracks, and new
material for the album...ala Boyer & Talton. Other notable
musicians are expected to drop-by before the weekend is out to add
their own special flair to the project.
With the afore mentioned group of standout musicians supporting
this project, bullets and sparks will certainly fly, so hold on to your
Stetsons, and keep your powder dry...Cowboy is back in town.
