Just back from Provence, I learned by an e-mail from Rita dated August 12th, that Claus had a fall and was waiting for surgery in a hospital.

Serge and Therese heard the news from me today. They are in Normandy and send you both all their affection.

I wish you a quick recovery Claus and a lot of strength for you Rita.

one week after that dreadful attack I am very
relieved to tell you that

Claus is getting better every day.

His back is aching when he walking a few steps. At least he can walk! He

can use one hand to feed himself or hold the phone. All bone fractures

are healing well. There is still to search what caused the enormous

spasms. He will stay at the hospital at least one more week, then he

will go into rehab.



The many concerns and e-mails of you all mean a lot to Claus! Thank you

all!!! He is very eager to return home and to get in touch with

everybody of you individually. And he is very eager to play music

again! Probably his shoulders will not work completely as before, but he

will be strong enough to hold a guitar. That was one of his main

concerns.

We are very confident !



Thank you so much for all your love and support! It feels good to know

that you are out there.

Claus is sending his love. He misses all of you and tries his best to return very soon. Yesterday we made a very little walk in the sunshine. Every day a few steps forward.
He is listening to Gorilla a lot these days. Healing JT music!
